About us
At Rock Hill Ruff House, we are absolute dog lovers and strive to treat your pet like our own. Our passion for these sweet, silly, and sometimes slobbery creatures has driven us to create a safe and clean facility for all of your boarding and daycare needs! Most of your pet's time here is spent outside in our numerous yards running, playing, and just being dogs! We also have spacious, climate-controlled rooms and can supply toys, beds, and blankets if needed. 24 hour care is provided as we live on site—so your pet will never be alone! The comfort of your pet is always our top priority. Whether indoors or outdoors, all play groups are monitored closely to ensure safety and lots of fun-having!
Becoming part of the pack
Firstly, we begin with a meet & greet, where our dog, Murphy, eagerly awaits a new friend! During this meeting, we observe your dog's behavior towards us and Murphy, and you'll be able to tour the facility as well.
After this meeting succeeds, we move on to a 4-hour trial daycare. He/she will be introduced to the rest of the pack, and will spend roughly 2 1/2 hours outside getting to know their new friends! The remaining time will be spent in one of our spacious kennels to test for behavior there. Bring anything you think will make your dog more comfortable!

Our team consists of experienced, loving, and capable pet lovers who will treat your pup like their own. We have also completed (or currently in the process of completing) dog daycare training through PackPro! We are certified in:
- Dog Body Language
- Group Management
- Canine Health, First Aid, & CPR
Safety, cleanliness, and lots of fun are priorities here! Trust is important to both dogs and humans--while we want your trust, we know we must earn your dog's trust, too! The more your pet comes, the more familiar they are to us and the routines here. We recommend scheduling them for a daycare here and there between vacations so that they continue to familiarize themselves here. Also, we are (totally professional) photographers here--daily updates are sent out for both boarding and daycare customers so you can see for yourselves what a fun time your furry friend is having!
Curious about our daily schedule?
Dogs thrive off of a routine. Although it may be very different here than at home, we strive to keep a consistent routine for both our sakes and the dogs, too! Here's a simplified breakdown of our day-to-day activities:
7 AM (8 AM on Sat/Sun) to 9 AM - Boarding dogs are let out to play after their overnight stay. This also begins drop-offs for new boarders and daycare pups. See more about drop-off/pick-up windows in the next section.
9 AM - Boarders are fed breakfast and stay in their rooms for an hour to digest.
10 AM - Boarders are let back out to play with daycare dogs until 11 AM.
11 AM to 1 PM - All dogs (and humans!) take a midday break to re-charge and have a treat/eat any provided lunch. We also use this time for our own break and to thoroughly clean the facilities.
1 PM - All dogs let out to play for the next few hours until dinner time (5 PM) or until they get picked up.
Boarders will be let out in the evening (between 8-9 PM) for one last potty break and a nighttime treat before we say goodnight, sleep tight!
**We have an indoor play area for any unsafe weather (storms, too hot, too cold).
drop-off/pick-up windows
Strick adherence to agreed-upon drop off and pick up times is necessary to maintain the smooth flow of services and ensure each pet receives proper care. Late arrivals or pick ups may impact the ability to provide the desired quality of care for our furry friends and other clients. While we do have drop off and pick up windows, each stay must have a scheduled drop off and pick up time. If you are unable to make the scheduled time, please inform us as soon as possible.
Drop off and pick up times are 7:00-10am and 3-5:30pm M-F. Drop off and pick up times on Sat and Sun are 9-11am or 3-5pm.
If boarders are dropped off during the AM window, they should be picked up during the AM window. If picked up during the PM window, an additional charge of 20.00 will be added per dog.
